I didn't anticipate such an active day after waking up. Getting out of bed late meant I couldn't stick to the plan however hard I wanted to. According to the Apple Health and the Withings apps, my health is below average, so I don't have no other choice but to do more physical activity. With this in mind, we went for a long walk with Ági at 8:45 a.m. The temperature was already high, and, fortunately, there was less traffic on the roads and significantly fewer people on the streets. This is what summer vacation does.
After returning home, we both had a drink on the balcony - Ági went for water and some healthy snacks, and I had a much-needed coffee - then, while Ági was working, I studied till lunchtime. Since I was on duty, I prepared fish fingers with potato and thinly sliced cucumber and tomato dipped in sugary-salty-"paprikás"-vinegary water. Plus, I made a bit of yoghurt with mustard and sugar to coat the fish fingers gently soaked with lemon. We ate on the balcony, which was divine.
As for my studies: I found two new vocabulary books - "Academic Vocabulary in Use" and "English Vocabulary in Use C1-C2 level" - which make more sense than the B2 and C1 level vocabulary builder books. I'll continue with these new books, but I'll complete the others as well because they contain a few interesting topics I can use while teaching. Not to mention those topics that I haven't spoken or thought about, so these could give me some useful thoughts.
I practised my Tai Chi and Lok Hup Ba Fa sets in the afternoon and then took Abby to the groomer. Her fur was far too long, and walking in the afternoon heat was terribly exhausting for her. After they finished grooming, we returned home, where I took her for her evening walk. Upon coming back to the house, I worked out, so with three sports sessions today, I felt like a champion.
The weather was wonderful. According to Ági's car, the highest temperature was +32°C with clear skies, so summer has arrived. The next few days will be even warmer, although chances are we might receive some rain and inclement weather. I'm not looking forward to it, but "c'est la vie".
